Hamama imports its high-quality foodstuffs from some 200 suppliers in more than 50 countries spanning the globe, providing the local Israeli market access to the very best quality and value-for-money that can be found in the world today.
The Company imports some 4,000 containers per year. This translates into some 80 million kilograms of goods, or some 20% of the local “dry goods” food import market!
Hamama has a state-of-the-art logistics center in Kiryat Gat, Israel, where the goods are palletized and then delivered to its customers around the country, from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat. More than 95% of deliveries are made within two days.
Hamama has some 400 customers, ranging in size from Israel’s largest food conglomerates, wholesalers and distributors, to small and medium-sized natural food stores and health food shops. Hamama understands that each customer is unique, and spares no effort to meet the constantly changing needs and requirements of each and every one.
The Company offers its customers a full array of logistic services, including storage, sorting, packing, delivery and quality assurance. Hamama and its customers work together hand-in-hand to forecast demand accurately, interfacing with the logistics departments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery. By implementing JIT delivery, Hamama customers increase efficiency and decrease waste by receiving goods only as they are needed in the production process, thereby lowering inventory costs.
The Company works with its customers who require supply in accordance with stringent standards such as the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System.
